In 2020, Moustache Republic migrated the Bondi Sands website from Magento to Shopify Plus, becoming their dedicated eCommerce partner. Since then, we’ve assisted Bondi Sands in launching their skincare and Technocolor ranges, enhancing the site with cutting-edge technologies like Perfect Corp’s virtual try-on system. Our ongoing partnership ensures Bondi Sands remains at the forefront of eCommerce innovation.

Maintaining the Magento site

Bondi Sands faced challenges with their Magento website in terms of ease of use and high maintenance costs. Moustache Republic took on the mission to migrate Bondi Sands to Shopify Plus, reducing the total cost of ownership. This migration empowered the eCommerce and marketing teams to manage website content and launch new campaigns and product ranges with ease.

Launching a new skincare product range

Bondi Sands wanted to introduce a skincare range alongside their self-tan products. We successfully launched the new range with fresh branding and a custom homepage, while integrating it into the same Shopify Plus instance for ease of management. The two ranges now coexist seamlessly, allowing the Bondi Sands team to cross-market without confusing the customer experience.

Product Finder

With an expanding product line, customers found it increasingly difficult to locate the exact products they needed. We collaborated with the Bondi Sands team to create tailored quizzes: a Self-Tan Quiz, Shade Finder Quiz, and Skin Quiz. These guided shopping experiences make it easier for customers to find the perfect products, improving conversion rates and providing invaluable data for marketing and product development.

Virtual Try-On

Customers often struggle to visualize how products will look on them without trying them on. To address this, we implemented Perfect Corp’s AI+AR-based virtual try-on system, enabling customers to see how products will appear on them in real time. This innovative feature enhances the shopping experience, helping customers make confident purchasing decisions.
